Looks like the before and after of "The Ugly Duckling" doesn't it? I was going more for a pair of swans, but the black one came out smaller.

My guess would be about 400 to 500 pieces. All I really remember about making it was that it had a base of 30 or so pieces. I'm sorry that I can't be more specific at the moment. =/
