This is an original 3DO bear model I made for mother's day (which she liked. =]) I started this project before I even came across the plane model. Needless to say I got sidetracked.

It's a base 30 model, with large notches for the legs (base 18) and thin ones for the ears. The legs, arms (base 12), and ears were glued on. I made a round purple patch for the stomach area, but it's obscured by the arms. The ears are painted on the back to match the "fur". I also used an open module for the nose to add dimension. The flowers are stacked origami lilies. Origami stars adorning the scarf and support base.

If I had to do this differently, I would have made the limbs smaller and figured out a way for it to sit upright without the support.

Materials:
- Colored Paper (All are modules except the flowers and stars.)
- Ribbon
- Glue
- CD Spindle (This is used for support since it won't sit on its own without toppling over.)

Time: Estimated 20+ Hours (I accidentally decapitated it a few times. =/)

Please check out the Mother's Day Bear Angles for some close ups.

I think your bear is awsome!!! I am new to this art & would love to make a bear as I collect bears (Ihave 960 all over my house). Is there a pattern/instructions somewhere that I could follow for the Arms, legs ears & how to attach them? I have made an owl, so I think I can figure out the body & Head. Thank You

Thank you. =]

This was a custom piece so there are no instructions for this. In the description I wrote broad details on what was done. To summarize it further, just make stumps and glue them on for the arms and legs. The ears were made and then glued into notches I made in the head.

My friend is making a diagram for a bear that you have commented on here [link] You can wait for that if you want clearer instructions.
